Toddler Interior

It’s six weeks until baby number two arrives and my nesting instinct has already kicked in. Starting with redesigning the interior of Finns bedroom.

Since he is only two years of age, I am keen not to impose any strong “themes” or “characters” which he is likely to grow out of. So I’ve decided to go for a neutral  “Stars & Stripes” theme, with a basic color scheme of blue, grey and white.

So far, I’ve picked up the following;

A beautiful handcrafted Toy Chest & Seat from Made By Lo (at the Country Living Fair but it can be purchased online)

Star Pendent Ceiling Light Shade from Mini Sun – Amazon. The same item can also be found at John Lewis (online)

Gisela Graham Star Door Knobs – Amazon in Colours White & Blue (online) – these will help update his inbuilt wardrobes.

Stars & Stripes bedding set from Vertbaudet & Zara (online)

Star cushion as seen in the first picture is from The White Company. Cox & Cox also sell a great cushion to decorate a chair or bed.

Speaking of which, I’ve picked up this cute Star Bunting from Cox & Cox. I’ll do anything to jazz up a toddler bed.

Bedside Star Carvinal Light from Primark (in store). The colour is much lighter than this picture.

Aden & Anais Twinkle Changing Mat Cover from Natural Baby Shower (online)

To add a little fun, I picked up this Felt Sheeps Head Wall Mount from the Country Living Fair back in March.

To bring the walls to life, I have put up a collection of personalised pictures to create a mosaic wall.

Another way to bring the theme together would be to frame pieces of material such as an old scarf either in the colour scheme or with the Stars & Stripes theme.

Furniture wise, I have opted for a toddler bed, a beautiful bedside table and a ladder bookcase from the Great Little Trading.

A photo of Finns bedroom will be posted this weekend so please watch out for the update!

Please note most of the pictures used in this article were sourced from the sellers websites.
